Last checked against official sources on
Visas for Bosnia and Herzegovina are issued by its diplomatic and consular missions abroad. There are three types: A (airport transit), C (short stay) and D (long stay). A D visa is valid for up to one year and is issued exceptionally for stays over 90 days in six months 1. A short-stay visa "shall be issued for business, education, training and similar purposes" 1.
Residence for education
Temporary residence on the ground of education falls under Article 63 of the Rulebook on Entry and Stay of Aliens. The first application must be filed outside Bosnia and Herzegovina through a diplomatic or consular representation, with the applicant appearing in person. The exceptions are people who entered with a type D visa or come from a visa-free country. The permit runs up to one year, and documents must be originals or certified copies with an official translation 2.
Funds
Entrants must show 150.00 BAM per day of intended stay. The entry page cites a decision dated 2013 1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs "Visas for BH" page gives the same figure, KM 150.00 per day. That page lists the nationals who may enter with only a passport or valid ID card, and it does not mention Bangladesh or student visas 3.
No mission for Bangladeshi applicants, fee or processing time is confirmed. Ask the Bosnia and Herzegovina mission that will receive your file.
