Bulgaria visa from Bangladesh: New Delhi embassy and VFS tracker
Last checked against official sources on
The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Bulgaria has no functioning embassy in Bangladesh and that the Embassy in Delhi is accredited for Bangladesh. Its number for visa information, appointments and consular matters is +91 966 776 5100, and the consular email is consular.delhi@mfa.bg 1.
Tracking
The official tracker listed for Bulgaria is the VFS Global tracker. It asks for a reference number, taken from your VFS receipt, and your date of birth 2. It shows where the application and passport are at the visa centre, not the embassy's decision 2. A reply that says the application is ready to collect is therefore a stage at the visa centre, not an approval.
Numbers
These are European Commission figures for Schengen short-stay visas at Bulgaria's consulate in New Delhi. They cover all nationalities and all purposes, so they are not a student-visa refusal rate.
| Year | Applied for | Issued | Not issued | Not issued as share of applied |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 4,889 | 3,885 | 760 | 15.5% 4 |
| 2025 | 3,435 | 2,082 | 1,270 | 37.0% 3 |
The share is the "not issued" figure divided by the number applied for.
Have the reference number from your VFS receipt ready for the status check on this page.
