Belarus study visa from Bangladesh: New Delhi embassy, appointment by email

The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in New Delhi publishes a study-visa document addressed to citizens of India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka 1. Documents must be submitted in person, and only original visa support documents are accepted 2.
Booking and handing in
Since 7 October 2024 the embassy takes visa applications only by prior appointment. You book by email to india.consul@mfa.gov.by, and only that address is used 2. Applications are received Monday to Thursday, 09:30 to 12:30, and you must hand over the documents yourself 2.
Documents for the study visa
- completed visa application form
- one 35 x 45 mm photo
- passport with two blank pages, valid 90 days beyond departure
- original visa invitation from a Belarusian university
- medical or travel insurance valid in Belarus
- flight itinerary
- proof of financial means: your or your parents' bank statement for 3 months, or a parent's salary slip or employer letter
- educational documents, such as the school-leaving certificate and diplomas
- a copy of a medical certificate (health statement)
- the NEET test, for medical students 1
Fee and time
The visa fee is EUR 60, or EUR 120 for an urgent visa. It is paid in Indian rupees through the bank only. The consular officer gives the exact amount after you apply, and you bring the deposit slip to the embassy by 12:30 the same day 2. Standard processing is 5 days, with the visa ready on the Friday for a Monday submission. Express within 48 hours costs an extra fee and is not always available 2.
The e-visa
Belarus runs an e-visa for ordinary passport holders of 68 countries: single entry, stay up to 30 days, decided within seven calendar days, with an extra EUR 6 service fee. The page does not list Bangladesh among the countries it names 3. Whether Bangladesh is eligible is not established, so a student should plan on the embassy route.
Checking status
The e-visa is processed on the e-pasluga.by portal, which needs a personal-account login 4. The embassy route has no tracker that we could confirm; ask the embassy about your application.
