Denmark student residence permit from Dhaka: SIRI, My Page and the DKK 89,112 funds rule

On this page
SIRI, the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration, receives and processes student residence permit applications 1. The Royal Danish Embassy in Dhaka is a place to submit, and its residence permit page does not say who decides 2. SIRI's own table gave 2 months for a student in a higher educational programme, or up to 3 months if more information is needed. This was shown on 7 October 2026 and is a global figure, not a Dhaka one 6.
Applying from Bangladesh
If you apply online, the application is already submitted. From abroad you can also submit at a Danish mission or application centre in your country 1. The embassy says it has commissioned VFS Global to run the Denmark Visa Application Centre in Dhaka 2.
Two addresses appear on embassy pages, and they differ. The residence permit page gives Delta Life Tower, Plot 37, Road 90, 4th Floor, Gulshan North, Dhaka 1212 2. The visa page gives Borak Mehnur, Level 7, 51/B, Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka 1213, open Sunday to Thursday 9 am to 2 pm 3. Confirm the current address before you travel.
Give your facial photo and fingerprints within 14 days of submitting. If you do not, the application is rejected 2.
What the permit needs
The permit is a residence permit as a student in a higher educational programme. The processing fee is DKK 3,060 1. Documents include 1:
- Proof you paid the fee, as a receipt or bank statement. A payment status shown on a website is not accepted.
- A copy of every passport page, including empty pages and covers.
- Proof of funds, such as a bank statement no more than 30 days old, or a scholarship or student loan.
- For guest or exchange students, proof of enrolment at the home institution.
- If you are under 18, a consent declaration signed by both parents, a birth certificate and a copy of the parents' passport data page. The school must sign a declaration of proper residence and study conditions.
- A signed sworn declaration, if you do not sign the application with MitID.
The funds rule is DKK 7,426 per month at the 2026 level, multiplied by the months of study, up to DKK 89,112 for 12 months 1.
