Greece D visa from Dhaka: GVCW centre, documents and what the tracker shows
Last checked against official sources on
Bangladeshi applicants should submit long-stay D visa applications only at the Greece Visa World Centre (GVCW) Visa Application Center in Dhaka 1. The page calls it the Long Stay D (National) visa 1. The centre couriers applications to the Embassy of Greece in New Delhi for processing, and the interview and medical exams follow submission 1. The embassy decides. The centre does not 1.
Study D visa documents
The page lists these for the Long Stay D (National) visa for study 1:
- the completed application form and photos on a white background
- a passport valid at least 1.5 years from submission
- proof of funds for living expenses of at least EUR 400 per month during the studies
- an original police clearance certificate with apostille, issued within the previous three months and attested by Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- travel insurance covering the whole visa validity, starting two months after submission (for example 365 days for a one-year D visa)
- admission documents from the Greek college or university, including Greek Ministry of Education approval and proof of prior studies
- details of the course language
- proof of payment of at least one third of the tuition fees
- medical exams after the interview, with the report sent directly to the Greek Embassy
Fees
The study D visa fee is EUR 90 (9,540 INR), pre-paid through the portal's payment method before submission, and it is non-refundable 1. The service fee is EUR 30 per application, payable in BDT. The cross-border delivery fee for couriering to New Delhi is BDT 10,200 per application, payable in cash in BDT 1. The page says submission of family reunification D visa applications is suspended until further notice 1.
How long it takes
The page says the time is "solely up to the Embassy's discretion", with no fixed timeframe 1.
Tracking your application
GVCW has a page titled "What is the status of my visa application? / Track your Application" 2. It lets you follow your application online and check whether your passport is ready for collection 2.
- Application ID (a barcode): it is on the payment receipt you get at submission 2.
- Passport number 2.
If nothing matches, the tracker answers "No record found. Please make sure your barcode and passport number are correct" 2. That means GVCW has no record for that Application ID and passport number, so check both against your receipt.
The tracker is for following your application and checking whether your passport is ready for collection 2. The decision comes from the Embassy of Greece in New Delhi 1, so treat a passport-ready message as a collection notice, not as proof of approval.
For other questions, the centre points to grcon.del@mfa.gr 1. The GVCW assistance desk in Bangladesh is +88 09606 777999 and +88 09666 911381, 9:00 to 16:30 Sunday to Thursday, email info.bdgr@gvc24assist.eu 2.
Keep your GVCW payment receipt beside you, because the Application ID printed on it is what the status check on this page asks for.
