Serbia study visa from Bangladesh: New Delhi, D visa and eVisa
Last checked against official sources on
Serbia has no embassy in Bangladesh. The Serbian foreign ministry page for Bangladesh names the Embassy of Serbia in India, in New Delhi, as the mission that covers Bangladesh from outside the country 1. That page is written for Serbian citizens, so it does not itself tell Bangladeshis to apply in New Delhi 1. The Welcome to Serbia portal adds that when there is no mission in your country of residence, you can use a non-residential mission 2.
The D visa for study
Students apply for a D visa and choose "Education" as the purpose 2. The D visa allows a stay of at least 90 and at most 180 days, with multiple entries 2. Apply at least three months before you travel 2. Each person in a passport needs a separate application 2.
You can apply through the online form (eApplication) or in person at a mission 2. If you hold the visa, you can apply for temporary residence on the same grounds while the visa is still valid 2. The D visa fee is 50 euros, paid in dinars at the National Bank of Serbia middle rate, at the last step on the portal. Payments made outside the portal are not counted 4. The pages we could read do not give the Education document list or processing time, so ask the mission before you pay for anything else.
Checking your application
Serbia's eVisa portal is at evisa.welcometoserbia.gov.rs 3. It needs you to sign in 3. You can check a request at any time on the portal's "myrequests" page, and visa notices arrive by email 4. You can change request data only while the status is "being supplemented" 4.
Have the login you used for the application ready, then use the status check above.
